ERMC offers judgment-free, medication-assisted treatment to those struggling with addiction

Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ERMC) is now offering physician-led, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to patients through their Family Practice office. The program is being overseen and co-led by Medical Director Dr. Jonathan Cooper and Nurse Practitioner Dr. Anne Khol. Both providers are vocal supporters of the MAT care model and believe this clinic will provide a much-needed resource to the community.

The MAT program is designed for patients who have developed a dependence upon substances such as alcohol or opioids; the goal is to improve the individual’s overall health and quality of life through the use of comprehensive care, and medicine designed to reduce or lessen cravings.

The MAT team at ERMC is committed to providing a judgment-free, compassionate space to work with each patient one-on-one to create an individualized treatment plan. In addition to medicine treatment plans may include things like mental or behavioral health support, or collaboration with onsite social workers to connect patients with community resources.

ERMC’s MAT team is available (by appointment only) from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm every Tuesday. To learn more about this program, or schedule a private appointment, please call the dedicated MAT scheduling line at 517.999.4525.
