New Nurse Practitioner, Janelle Brush, offers new lactation service line at Eaton Rapids Medical Center

Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ERMC) welcomes Janelle Brush, NP (Nurse Practitioner), to the hospital’s Family Practice. Brush comes to Eaton Rapids from McLaren, where she worked in the Birthing Center.

Brush received her A.D.N from Lansing Community College, her bachelor’s from Davenport University, and completed her master’s degree from Spring Arbor University.

ERMC is also excited to announce that Brush will soon be able to offer a new service line at their Family Practice. Brush will be providing breastfeeding assistance to those in need of services, including any mother pre-natal, ante-natal or post-partum.

“I will be able to provide lactation services to our patients to help with their breastfeeding journey without having the trouble of travelling long distances to get assistance,” said Brush. “I am able to help with latching, fitting breast pumps, assessing for lip/tongue ties, working with mothers who may experience mastitis, and more.”

Brush stated that she loves getting to know her patients personally and gaining their trust so she can be that listening ear that many need.

“We are excited that Janelle has joined our team! She has already used her knowledge and skills to help new moms and their babies’ bond,” said RHC/Redicare Manager Tanya Marsh. “Words cannot describe the amount of care and compassion our Nurse Practitioners give to every patient they encounter.”

When she is not practicing medicine, Brush loves the outdoors. She enjoys camping, fishing, and hunting. She also enjoys spending time with her partner, Jeff and their three children, Jenna, Jonathan, and Jackson.
