ERMC Welcomes New MED/SURG Manager Leni Danford

Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ERMC) welcomes Eleni (Leni) Danford as the new Med/Surg Manager. Danford came to ERMC from McLaren Greater Lansing, where she was the Nursing Patient Care Manager. She brings with her ten years of experience in various nursing and leadership roles from departments such as Med/Surg, Trauma, Emergency Department, and Critical Care.

She obtained her nursing degree from Lansing Community College, her BSN from University of Michigan-Flint, and her MSN from Chamberlain University.

“The field of nursing and healthcare provides an amazing opportunity to care for people and the community through meaningful and impactful work,” said Danford. “It is unlike any other career path.”

Danford stated a few other reasons she enjoys working in nursing is because of the fast-paced environment, collaboration among departments, and being able to care for those in need during their most vulnerable times.

“When treating patients at ERMC, you have a special opportunity to give back to not only the patients, but to the whole community,” Danford said when asked why she was interested in working at ERMC.

“I am thrilled and excited to join the ERMC team,” said Danford. “There is such an abundance of pride for Eaton Rapids that radiates throughout the hospital, and it is an honor to be a part of the team.”

During her free time, you can find Danford hanging out with her husband, Justin and dog, Zoe. They enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the lake, cooking, and traveling to Greece to visit family.
