ERMC Emergency Department Earns National Recognition

Eaton Rapids Medical Center’s Emergency Department has been honored by the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® program with two national quality achievement awards for care delivered in 2024.

This was the first year participating in the program, which began in January 2024, and our team’s dedication to excellence has already earned distinction:

  • Stroke Silver Award – recognizes our commitment to providing timely, evidence-based care that improves recovery and reduces long-term disability for stroke patients.
  • STEMI Bronze Award (Q2 2024) – highlights our success in rapidly identifying and treating severe heart attacks, giving patients the best chance at survival and recovery.

“This recognition is such a proud moment for our department,” said Marissa Amboy, Emergency and Respiratory Manager. “To earn two national awards in our very first year of participation speaks volumes about the dedication, teamwork, and attention to detail each of our staff bring to patient care. We’ve set a strong foundation in stroke and STEMI management that will only continue to grow. It’s exciting to see our daily commitment to excellence reflected in national data — proof that what we do here truly makes a difference.”

These awards reflect the hard work and commitment of our physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver exceptional, patient-centered emergency care to the Mid-Michigan community.
