ERMC receives Celebration of Regional Growth award

Eaton Rapids Medical Center was presented with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Celebration of Regional Growth (CORG) award at a luncheon at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center on November 16, 2017. CORG honors organizations that are making significant economic investments in the Greater Lansing region. Throughout the years, 60 businesses have been recognized and have contributed more than $12.3 billion to the regional economy.

Eaton Rapids Medical Center is being recognized for the $6 million expansion. The ERMC Family Practice, Redicare, Rehabilitation, Sleep Center and Behavioral Health departments will move into the new space once it is completed in early 2018. Eaton Rapids Women's Health, Dr. Ashok Gupta and Dr. Thomas Kelly will occupy the new 25,000 square foot building as well. "Having additional medical space will help us recruit new physicians to the area," said Tim Johnson, President & CEO at ERMC. "This is a huge benefit for the hospital, the community and especially for our patients."

Dr. Lowell Fernander, a new board certified internist at ERMC, looks forward to seeing patients in the new space, remarking "It's good to be stepping into an institution that is on the cusp of expansion and advancement. Expanding will provide us with more space, allows us to be more efficient and will improve our patient flow and efficiency." In addition to the award, ERMC was featured in the Lansing State Journal and the Chamber's monthly magazine. The Chamber also produced a video featuring Chief Operating Officer Kris Allen, Dr. Lowell Fernander, and Tara Calabro, LLMSW. To view the video and articles, visit www.facebook.com/ermchealth.
