Progress continues on the construction of the new building as we move into the final weeks of 2017. Exterior doors are being attached, flooring will be installed over the next six weeks, and construction of the walkway between the main hospital and the expansion has begun. There was a snag with the relocation of the MRI Rig that caused the projected January grand opening to be delayed; however, we hope to take possession of the building in February and begin seeing patients in March. We anticipate that this expansion will make an immediate and positive impact on the healthcare landscape in our community, and will support the steady growth that we have experienced this past year and look forward to in the future.    Read more...

Laboratory staff now have 30 days in which to respond in writing as to the corrective actions that will be performed prior to receiving approval for reaccreditation. The surveyor was very impressed this year and told me that our lab delivers “the utmost quality of care” for our patients.
Laboratory manager, Trisha Fitnich, explained that “Laboratory science is all about detail-oriented people with the same personality and drive doing what we ...   Read more...

Last month, ERMC welcomed back DNV GL Healthcare USA, Inc. surveyors. It was a bit of a surprise, as we did not expect them until July or August, and a number of key people were on vacation. It was great to see, however, that once again staff rallied together to provide everything that was required to prove that our organization conforms to the NIAHO Quality Management System standard and Medicare participation requirements.
ERMC had to meet or exceed certain standards for patients in several areas in order to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification. A successful survey resulting in certification is confirmation of competence and is utilized as a strategic tool to report the consistency and transparency with which a business conducts itself. This formal recognition that we operate according to international standards adds credibility to our hospital and makes us stand out as an exceptional health care provider. It is a distinction that no other ...   Read more...
