The 2015 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) identified important issues related to adolescent mental and physical health in our area that caused concern in our community.   These issues prompted a group of local citizens, including ERMC’s Lindsay Peters and Dawn Wartenbe, to form the Eaton Rapids Area Teen Initiative (ERATI).  The members are comprised of both adults and teens who began meeting in the fall of 2016 to discuss the importance of establishing a teen center in Eaton Rapids.  This team of individuals is committed to securing a location, funding, staffing and programming in support of the project.  The vision of ERATI “is for Eaton Rapids area teens to have a place to go that provides enrichment, security and learning during selected hours when school is not in session.”  Their mission “is to provide a safe environment and adult-led, youth-driven programming, tutoring, volunteer ...   Read more...

Our Radiology Department passed the annual FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act inspection with flying colors and our Dietary Department received 100% on their health inspection this week! Our team consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to quality and safety. Thank you all for your dedication.

Construction on our 25,000 square feet expansion is coming along nicely! The addition will house the family practice, redicare, physical therapy, sleep center, and behavioral health departments. Some specialty services will also occupy the new space. You can still view the rendering and plans in our main lobby.

I wanted to take a moment to share that the Salvation Army will be giving away fruits and vegetables every second and fourth Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Eaton Clothing and Furniture Center located at 135 S. Washington Street in Charlotte. This is available to anyone in Eaton County!

As we celebrate the new year, I like to take some time to look back on where we’ve been and look forward to where we want to be. It has been another successful year for ERMC and we have so much to be thankful for from 2016:
  • Recognition as one of the top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the country – we always knew it was true, but it feels great to see that others are noticing. • We were recognized nationally for our quality and patient satisfaction scores. • Successful completion of the DNV ISO 9001 certification survey.
