Dietary/Housekeeping Manager
Hours: Full Time- 80 hours per pay
Responsibilities:
  • Provides Supervision and leadership while managing the departments.
  • Calculates menu cost, establishes and monitors cafeteria prices.
  • Completes sanitation inspections regularly.
  • Maintains an experienced understanding of various dietary guidelines/restrictions and instructs staff to prepare and serve patient meals in accordance with American Dietic Association (ADA) principles. Provides nutritious and appropriate foods based on individual cultural, social, and age specific preferences.
  • Interviews, hires, orient and trains new employees in accordance with hospital policy. Creates employee schedules. Ensures departments are properly staffed.
  • Reviews or revises department policies and procedures annually or as needed; develops new policies and procedures in conjunction with Infection Control.
  • Conducts routine inspections of all hospital departments to ensure cleanliness and high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Directs personnel to provide a clean, sanitary, safe and efficient environment.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations and requirements of Eaton Rapids Medical Center, The College of American Pathologists, DNV and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:
  • Certification in Dietary Management preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Member of Dietary Manager?s Association or willingness to obtain.
  • MDPH food safety and sanitation courses preferred or willingness to obtain.

  • Minimum of five years experience in hospital food service preferred.
  • Three years experience in Healthcare Environmental Services preferred.
