Dietary Cook/Aide
Hours: Full Time- 72 hours per pay shifts vary including days, afternoons, holidays and weekends
Responsibilities:
  • Plans food preparation by reviewing menus and food production sheets daily.
  • Checks in food deliveries, comparing items received with requisitions.
  • Oversees and participates in the assembly, cooking, baking, and seasoning of foods.
  • Prepares/serves foods which are based on individual cultural, social and/or age specific requirements for both content and texture.
  • Adheres to sanitary procedures for handling, cooking, and serving food.
  • Adheres to state and local health department regulations, ensuring the production area is clean and food is stored properly.

Dietary Manager
Hours: Full Time- 80 hours per pay
Responsibilities:
  • Provides supervision and leadership while managing the departments.
  • Calculates menu cost, establishes and monitors cafeteria prices.
  • Completes sanitation inspections regularly.
  • Maintains an experienced understanding of various dietary guidelines/restrictions and instructs staff to prepare and serve patient meals in accordance with American Dietetic Association (ADA) principles. Provides nutritious and appropriate foods based on individual cultural, social, and age specific preferences.
  • Interviews, hires, orients and trains new employees in accordance with hospital policy. Creates employee schedules. Ensures department is properly staffed.
  • Reviews or revises department policies and procedures annually or as needed; develops new policies and procedures in conjunction with infection control.
  • Conducts routine inspections of all hospital departments to ensure cleanliness and high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Directs personnel to provide a clean, sanitary, safe and efficient environment.
