Express Care
is a service of Eaton Rapids Medical Center that offers medical
attention for minor injuries and illnesses when your family doctor
is unavailable, much like an urgent care facility. Express Care is
open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you do not need an
appointment.
Express Care is conveniently located within the Eaton Rapids Medical
Center Emergency Department. Please register at the Main Lobby.
Because it is located within the Emergency Department, our highly
trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment are available to treat
you if you require additional medical attention. Please note that
all of our patients are seen based on the severity of their injury
or illness, not always in the order of arrival. We appreciate your
understanding and patience and we will make every effort to treat
you as quickly as possible. Minor injuries and illnesses such as
colds, sore throats, ear infections, and simple sinus infections not
needing Laboratory tests are among the various treatments you can
seek from Express Care.
During your visit to Express Care, the
staff may check your blood pressure, temperature, review
your current medical condition, and provide treatment which
may include issuing a prescription, giving a tetanus shot,
steri-strips, etc. Please be aware that if
Laboratory, Radiology (X-ray), or Respiratory tests are
needed, your visit may be classified as an Emergency Room
visit. The rate for Express Care is posted in the
Registration Department. There will be additional charges to
cover costs of medications, X-rays, laboratory tests, and
supplies. Eaton Rapids Medical Center will bill your
insurance company for you. Since Express Care is considered
an “office visit” you may need to check with your insurance
carrier or employer to see if this is a covered benefit.
