Materials Mgt/Housekeeping Manager
Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8-4:30 with some varied hours
Responsibilities:
  • Directs all activities associated with the purchasing, warehousing, and distribution of supplies.
  • Maintains accurate inventory and proper supply levels.
  • Maintains electronic database of inventory items, including proper mapping within hospitals computerized environment.
  • Utilizes contracts with the primary Group Purchasing Organization and other vendors to achieve best pricing for the organization.
  • Interviews, hires, orients and trains new employees in accordance with hospital policy. Creates employee schedules. Ensures departments are properly staffed.
  • Ensures compliance with Standard Precautions, OSHA and MSD procedures. Maintains knowledge of Health Department, DNV, and other regulatory bodies' rules and regulations.
  • Reviews or revises department policies and procedures annually or as needed; develops new policies and procedures in conjunction with Infection Control.
  • Conducts routine inspections of all hospital departments to ensure cleanliness and high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Directs personnel to provide a clean, sanitary, safe and efficient environment.
