From the CEO
This year has been fantastic. In fact, we had so many great things occur this year, it has been difficult to narrow down what to share with you. It's clear there has been a positive shift in our quality and culture. Eaton Rapids Medical Center is ranked #1 in the state for patient satisfaction. We scored 100% on our quality measures established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In addition to improving current processes, we added new services and providers to serve the needs of the community. One of our most time consuming projects was achieving Stage 2 Meaningful Use for our electronic health records implementation requirements.
After six months of working diligently, we have a new strategic plan for the hospital. A steering committee was charged with crafting a new mission and vision, as well as defining our values and the future of Eaton Rapids Medical Center. Our primary focus is on our patients, supported by our four pillars: Patient Satisfaction, Physician Relations, Employee Engagement and Community Relations. Special focus committees for each of these pillars made up of community members, hospital staff and managers met together and developed goals for each area. To ensure we are constantly keeping our decisions in line with our strategic plan, these committees continue to meet on a monthly basis.
Our new mission statement is powerful and says everything we want our patients to know about our goals: "Care. Serve. Inspire." Our new vision reflects what we continue to strive for: "To be the hospital patients trust, physicians prefer and staff members love." I am very proud of our plan and the hard work that went into it.
