LauckreceivesFoundationscholarshipEatonRapidsHighSchoolgraduateHeatherLauckwaspresentedwiththerstannualEatonRapidsMedicalCenterFoundationScholarshipAwardduringtheSeniorHonorsConvocationonTues-dayMay242011.Inadditiontoreceiv-ingtheawardLauckwasinvitedtotourtheMedicalCenterwithERMCPresidentCEOTimJohnson.ShealsotooktheopportunitytoobservetwocataractremovalsurgeriesperformedbyMichaelChamesMDandakneearthroscopyper-formedbyKentonWaterbrookDO.Lauckwasinvolvedinmanyextracur-ricularandcommunityserviceactivitiesinhighschoolincludingVarsityVolley-ballVarsitySoftballtheInteractClubandSeniorStudentCouncil.LauckplanstoattendWesternMichiganUniversityforpre-nursing.ShehasalsojoinedtheMichiganArmyNationalGuard.TheEatonRapidsMedicalCenterFoundationbeganoAeringthe1000scholarshipthisyeartoanEatonRapidsHighSchoolseniorwhoplanstopursuearegisterednursingdegree.Thepurposeofthescholarshipistoprovidelocalstudentswithassistanceinenteringthehealthcareeld.FooddrivecollectsrecordamountTheMichiganHarvestGatheringFoodDrivecoordinatedbyEatonRapidsMedicalCenterbetweenOctober21standNovember4thcollected5032poundsoffoodandpersonalcareproductsmorethandoubletheamountcollectedatlastyearx19sdrive.AlloftheitemscollectedweredonatedtoHeartHandsthelocalfoodbankinEatonRapids.Donationstotaling403.38werealsocollectedforthefoodbankaswell.LeslieNeubecker-CzubkoRegisteredDieti-tianatEatonRapidsMedicalCenterwhocoordinatestheannualfooddrivecouldnx19tbemorepleasedstatingx1cTheamountcollectedcompletelyexceededmyexpectationsthisyearThiscommunityissowonderfulcaringandgenerous.x1dManythankstoourcollectionsitesEatonFederalSavingsBankEatonRapidsMedicalCenterEatonRapidsSeniorCenterFamilyFareGreyhoundMiddleIntermediateandLockwoodSchoolsIndependentBankIslandCityAcademyIslandCityAssistedLivingMeridianMagnesiumProductsofAmericaRossAssociatesRealtorsPhotoERMCstaAdeliverfooddonationsPhotoERMCPresidentCEOTimJohnsonwithEatonRapidsHighSchoolgraduateandawardrecipientHeatherLauck
